Can we also please talk about what is missing from the discussion of Joseph Kony: what Western countries did that led to the rise of Joseph Kony and that whole pile of shit, and how Western countries coming in to “save” people and “bring Kony to justice” may not actually solve anything and in fact, more likely than not, replicate and perpetuate the root problem? Colonialism and the idea of “helping” and “saving” others never did any good in history, nor is it about to in this context.

Into that remaining 4 percent is crammed every other racial and ethnic group, though in absolute numbers they represent the vast majority — roughly 80 percent and growing — of humanity.
